Merry meet!
I am Alicia, the wife of Philip and a proud member of the Lufolk-team. I am a social worker by day, and a historical re-enactor by night. I love mythology and magic, so it makes sense that I'm also a Wiccan believer. When people ask me what religion means to me, I usually say "magic." Because magic and whimsy are things that everyone needs in their lives—even if only once in awhile!

I married Philip, the owner of Lufolk, and we've been together for almost 5 years. You might wonder how that works—how someone who works fulltime as a social worker can also run a business with her husband. The thing is, we work together—it's not just Philip's business or my career. We're partners in life and business, and we do what we need to do to make it all happen.
While I'm on parental leave right now, I still have plenty of time to read about mythology and history (my favorite topics) and write articles for our website (my favorite hobby). I also love historical re-enacting: dressing up in period clothing and pretending to be someone else from another time period! It sounds silly—and sometimes it is!—but it really helps me understand how people thought back then; how they reacted to things like war or famine or natural disasters.
I write for Philip's website, where you can find all sorts of hand-forged products—everything from viking jewelry to knives. The products' beauty is matched only by their functionality: they're made with care and precision, and with the goal that every piece will last a lifetime. If you can't find what you're looking for, he'll make it for you. Each product is handcrafted using traditional techniques passed down through generations of craftsmen—the same techniques that have paved the way for centuries of success for the blacksmiths.
So if you're looking for something truly special to add to your collection or just something different than what everyone else has at home, come check out our site! We'd love to hear from you. Welcome to the Lufolk family, friends! And blessed be.
