Where I come from, rope held everything together.
Our town built ships for generations. Men and women knotted rope thick enough to lift cargo, twisted tight enough to weather gales. The sea taught them one thing above all: shortcuts cost lives.
These necklaces carry that memory.
Each strand is hand-selected, the same material that once anchored vessels across oceans. Not synthetic. Not mass-produced. Cord that breathes, wears, and holds weight the way rope was meant to.
My friend, Anna, makes these necklaces by hand. Slowly and deliberate. No two are identical. Each bears the fingerprint of whoever tied it.
We've lost the texture of choosing. Everything arrives instantly now, disposable and forgettable. But some things demand time. Some stories deserve to be carried close.
This is one of them.
Avoid direct exposure to water and moisture. It has a protective linseed oil layer, so if it does get damp, just wipe it off and let it dry.
I very humid conditions: consider reapplying a light coat of oil or wax occasionally to maintain its protection, especially in changing environments.
Regular use helps enhance the product's character over time.
