The Hannunvaakuna symbol used to be painted or carved on houses, barns and on everyday items to protect the owner from evil spirits and bad luck. The oldest example found is a pair of 1000 year old wooden skis that was decorated with the symbol.
This pendant is inspired by an old Finnish symbol called Hannunvaakuna and can be found in Finnish mythology. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of history.
Being all Finn, I was so pleased to find this Hannunvaakuna pendant. Knowing it is handmade is very special. I will surely be adding to my collection of Lufolk jewelry!
Very beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Exactly what I was looking for. I like to think that there is a connection between Hannunvaakuna and the symbol of my Land: the Rosa Camuna. An ancient sign of protection and good luck engraved on the rocks of Valle Camonica. Thank you so much Philip.
Beautiful craftsmanship. Phillip has the spirit of the blacksmiths of years gone by. Shipped quickly and arrived in great shape.
